This magazine rack is made from steel, designed in 1955 to complement Panton's 'bachelor' chair manufactured using the same methods. It has been newly upholstered in off white canvas and grey leather. The rack comes apart and can be flat packed.
In excellent condition throughout.

Born in Copenhagen in 1914, Hansen studied carpentry at the Copenhagen School of Crafts before working as a joiner. He then studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts where he developed his modernist design style.
In 1944, Hansen founded his own furniture company, Hans Hansen Furniture with his wife, Goethe. The company quickly became known for its innovative and functional designs, which won several prestigious awards.
He also designed furniture for major companies such as Fritz Hansen and Le Clint.
