We are always looking to buy well designed twentieth-century furniture and objects. If you have a piece you’re considering selling, we would be very happy to hear from you.

At A Fold of Chairs we buy a wide range of mid-century pieces - including sideboards, shelving systems, chairs, tables, lighting, ceramics, glassware and tableware. In short, almost everything you see on our website is the kind of thing we are interested in.

• Images of the piece from a few angles

• Any damage or wear you can see

• Close ups of any makers’ marks or labels

We aim to give quick, honest responses and clear price offers. If we decide the piece is right for us, we can usually organise collection within the week.

Some of our favourite pieces come from homes just around the corner. There is something very satisfying about buying a piece locally, restoring it in our St Albans workshop, and then finding it a new home nearby. Keeping furniture in circulation like this is one of the most sustainable ways to buy and sell furniture - and it sits right at the heart of what we does
