Teak wall unit by Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) for C.M. Madsen for FDB Mobler. 

 

Wall unit comprising model '134' chest & model '154' bookcase, circa 1950. Stamped manufacturer's marks to each section.

The wall unit has been stripped and danish oiled. It is in great condition. 

Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) was a Danish furniture designer known for his functional, durable and elegantly simple designs. Trained as a cabinetmaker, he later studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under Kaare Klint. Mogensen played a key role in shaping Danish modernism, emphasising practicality and high-quality craftmanship. He designed for FDB Mobler and later established his own studio, creating iconic pieces such as the Spanish Chair and J39 chair. His work prioritised everyday usability, making him one of Denmark's most influential furniture designers.
