A beautiful Danish sideboard by Dyrlund, crafted in the 1960s with the attention to detail that defines midcentury Scandinavian design. The two engineered tambour doors open and vanish completely into the cabinet sides, revealing a thoughtfully arranged interior.

At the centre are five drawers (the top is baize lined) with cut-away handles, flanked by shelving on either side. The tambour slats are so finely made you can barely detect the joins, and the dainty, carved handles sit comfortably in your hand.

We’ve carefully stripped and oiled the piece to bring out the deep, rich tones of the teak, highlighting its natural movement and grain. A timeless, functional statement, deal for dining rooms, living spaces, or studios.

Founded in 1960, Dyrlund is a Danish furniture manufacturer renowned for its high-quality craftsmanship and timeless Scandinavian design. Based in Sønder Omme, Denmark, the company quickly gained international recognition for producing solid wood furniture with a focus on organic forms, refined detailing, and traditional joinery techniques.

Dyrlund’s work during the 1960s and 70s exemplifies the golden age of Danish modernism, combining functionality with sculptural beauty. Their signature pieces, such as tambour-door sideboards, desks, and dining tables, are often crafted in rich teak or rosewood and designed to last for generations. Dyrlund’s furniture was widely exported and remains highly collectible today for its exceptional build quality and elegant simplicity.
