A beautiful teak side table from Finn Juhl’s Diplomat series for France & Son, designed in the early 1960s.

The Diplomat range is one of Juhl’s most recognisable later furniture series, with its very clean proportions, slim tapered legs and understated detailing. This table is a particularly useful size and works equally well as a side table, occasional table or small writing table.

The table retains its manufacturer’s plaque and has particularly good provenance, having previously belonged to James France of France & Son.

The teak will be carefully cleaned and oiled to bring back the warmth and depth of the timber while retaining the character of the original piece.
