Teak and Metal Modular Wall System, (1960s) Denmark
Teak and Metal Modular Wall System, (1960s) Denmark
Mid-Century Danish Teak & Metal Modular Wall System (c. 1960s, in the manner of Kai Kristiansen)
Origin: Denmark
A retro mid-20th century Danish wall-mounted modular shelving system, crafted from rich teak and powder-coated black metal. The structure comprises vertical metal uprights fixed to the wall, supporting a series of adjustable teak shelves and a lower double-door cupboard with clean-lined detailing and ample storage.
With its light, architectural profile and beautifully grained timber, this system echoes the aesthetic of Kai Kristiansen’s iconic FM Reolsystem, but is unattributed. A versatile and elegant storage solution for living spaces, studies, or even kitchens—ideal for displaying books, ceramics, or collections while neatly concealing essentials below.
Condition
Very good vintage condition. Shelves and cupboard fronts retain a warm teak patina. Light signs of wear consistent with age and use. Structurally sound and complete.
