The 1-2-3 series is a brilliant example of Panton’s approach to furniture design during this period. Rather than relying on a conventional four-legged frame, the chair is formed as one continuous, flowing shape, with the seat, back and base appearing almost sculpted from a single line. The high back gives this version a particularly dramatic profile, while the swivel base makes it surprisingly practical and comfortable.

Panton was one of the most experimental figures in post-war Danish design, known for moving away from the traditional timber furniture associated with Scandinavian modernism and embracing new forms, materials and colour. The 1-2-3 series captures that shift beautifully.

This pair is currently awaiting restoration. The existing upholstery will be completely stripped back before the chairs are fully reupholstered in our workshop, with new fire-retardant materials used where required.

The price includes your choice of fabric from our mid-range collections. Premium fabrics, including bouclé, and leather are available at an additional cost.
