Set of Five Oxford Chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen
A set of five Oxford armchairs designed by Arne Jacobsen and produced by Fritz Hansen.
The Oxford chair was originally designed in 1965 for the professors of St Catherine’s College, Oxford, one of Jacobsen’s most important architectural commissions. With its slim, upright profile and distinctive five-star base, it has since become one of his best known office chair designs.
This set has black upholstered seats and backs, brushed steel armrests and five-star bases. The frames are in excellent condition, but the upholstery now needs replacing.
We are offering the chairs for sale with the opportunity to have them fully reupholstered in a fabric of your choice. This makes them a particularly good option for a dining room, meeting space or home office where you can tailor the finish to suit the interior.
Please contact us if you would like help choosing a suitable fabric or would like a quotation for reupholstery.
