Erving Torvits was a Danish furniture designer active in the mid-20th century. He trained as a cabinetmaker before establishing himself as a designer; working primarily in the 1950s and 1960s. Torvits is known for his refined, functional designs, often crafted in teak and rosewood reflecting the principle of Danish modernism. His work included storage furniture, desks and seating, characterised by clean lines and subtle detailing. He collaborated with several Danish manufacturers, including Klim Møbelfabrik.
