2 available Model FD130 Teak Armchair by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard, 1960s
A beautiful pair of armchairs designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Son in Denmark during the 1960s.
The chairs share the same elegant construction as the matching sofa, with beautifully shaped timber frames, gently curved arms and distinctive sled-style bases. The proportions are light and refined, giving them a sculptural quality while still feeling very comfortable and usable.
The chairs are currently awaiting full restoration. The frames will be carefully stripped and refinished to bring back the warmth and character of the wood. We will also make entirely new fire-retardant seat and back cushions before upholstering them in our workshop.
The price includes your choice of fabric from our mid-range collections. Premium fabrics, including bouclé, and leather are available at an additional cost.
If you are interested in the chairs before restoration is complete, please get in touch. Choosing them at this stage gives you the opportunity to select the upholstery yourself and tailor the finished pieces to your home.
The matching three-seater sofa and coffee table are also available separately, or the complete matching set can be purchased together at a reduced price
