Kingfisher Blue Lobed Vase by Whitefriars (1960s) UK
Kingfisher Blue Lobed Vase by Whitefriars (1960s) UK
Whitefriars Glass was at the forefront of British art glass during the post-war period, producing bold, expressive forms in a rich palette of colours. Known for their technical mastery and sculptural design language, the company’s mid-century output, particularly under designer Geoffrey Baxter, has become highly collectable.
This lobed vase in Kingfisher Blue is a beautiful example of the studio’s 1960s work. Mouth-blown and shaped with soft vertical folds, the vase catches and refracts light in striking ways. The colour is vibrant and full of depth, a signature Whitefriars tone.
