These examples feature ebonised beech frames paired with black paper-cord seats, a striking variation on Wegner’s original 1960s design. The CH47 embodies his belief that every joint and curve should be both functional and beautiful, with elegantly sculpted back rails and visible joinery that express the structure of the chair itself.

The ebonised frames show areas of natural rubbing that reveal the beech beneath, wear consistent with age and use, which does not detract from the character or integrity of the pieces. The chair is sturdy, with the original paper cord tight and intact.
