Original Valentine Typewriter by Etta Sottass for Olivetti , (1969) Italy

The Olivetti Valentine typewriter, designed by Ettore Sottsass and released on Valentine’s Day in 1969, quickly became a symbol of iconic Italian design. The typewriter features the signature bright red casing and sleek black keys.

It’s in full working order—every key and button functions perfectly. The typewriter uses black and red ribbons and types in Olivetti’s standard “elite” font, producing 11 characters per inch.

It also comes complete with its original red carrying case and the matching cleaning toolkit.
