A beautifully sculptural “Duckling” vase designed by Per Lütken, master glassblower and long-time artistic director at Holmegaard, the Royal Danish Glassworks. Created in the 1960s, the piece is hand-blown in clear and soft blue glass, rising into an organic, upward-tilting neck. It’s a classic example of Lütken’s approach - fluid forms, quiet simplicity and technical precision.
The condition is excellent, fully consistent with its age.

About the Designer: Per Lütken (1916–1998)
Per Lütken was one of Denmark’s most important 20th-century glass designers. Joining Holmegaard in 1942, he served as its chief designer for more than five decades and created over 3,000 glassworks - many of which are now considered Scandinavian design classics.
Lütken is known for his ability to work freehand at the furnace, shaping molten glass into forms that feel both precise and effortless. His collections, including Carnaby, Skibsglas, and Baltic, helped define Danish Modern glass. Pieces like the “Duckling” vase show his signature combination of clarity, colour gradients and organic silhouettes — designs that remain highly collected today.
