Vulcain was a mid-20th-century European manufacturer known for producing tableware, cutlery and small household items, often combining silver-plated metal with horn, Bakelite or resin handles. Their work appears mostly in the 1940s-1960s and is found across France, Belgium and Switzerland, where the name “Vulcain” (French for Vulcan, the Roman god of fire and metalworking) was commonly used for metal goods.
