Kienzle Automatic Mantle Clock
Midcentury German design
Dimensions: 15 × 14 cm
Condition: Excellent working order, boxed, with new wooden lid

A beautifully minimal midcentury mantle clock by Kienzle, one of Germany’s oldest and most respected clockmakers. This model features a brushed silvered dial, fine linear hour markers, and slender black hands - all enclosed within a domed glass front that gives the clock a soft, architectural presence.

The circular face is supported by two dark, angular metal feet with an oxidised finish, giving the piece a sculptural balance. It has a quiet, understated elegance that sits comfortably in both modern and midcentury interiors.

This example comes in its box, complete with a newly made wooden lid, and is in full working order.

About Kienzle
Founded in 1822, Kienzle is Germany’s oldest clock manufacturer and became well known for its precision engineering and modernist designs throughout the 1950s and 60s. Their automatic mantel clocks from this era are particularly collectible for their clean lines and reliable movements.

A lovely, functional midcentury piece - understated, well-made, and characterful without being fussy.
