    Nick Orsler -  A Studio glass vase titled "Breathing Space", in pink and blue translucent glass. Signed and dated 1986 to base,

    Dimensions - 20cm high

     

    Nick Orsler trained at Hornsey College of Art in London, and then did a degree in Industrial design at Leicester University.  He set up a small studio in London with the support of a Crafts Council award. Stockists of Nick's work have included Harrods International glass department, Liberty's One off department and the Designers Guild.

    Whilst working at Holmegaard, Per Lütken adopted his predecessor, Jacob Bang's modern shapes.  In the 1950s he implemented considerable improvements in manufacturing and aesthetics at Holmgaard inspired by the Trienalle di Milano. Per Lütken used heated metal to sculpt and create his fluid glass forms
