His work there centred on making, woodworking and design, and he was remembered for his craftsmanship, patience and ability to encourage others to develop practical creative skills.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe provenance comes directly from hiss daughter , who remembers the cane for these chairs being soaked in the bath while her father was making them when she was around three or four years old. It gives the chairs a lovely personal history.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWe have already stripped and oiled the rosewood frames, which has brought back the richness and depth of the timber while retaining their original character. The cane backs are in place and the chairs now only need slim seat cushions, which we will make in-house.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe price includes your choice of fabric from our mid-range collections.
