During the 1950s, Ercolani developed a range of furniture using traditional woodworking techniques alongside modern manufacturing methods, making well-designed, solid wood furniture available to a wider British market.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe Model 354 nesting tables were introduced in the 1950s and became known as the ‘Pebble’ tables because of their distinctive, organically shaped tops. Made from solid elm with tapered beech legs, the three tables fit neatly beneath one another.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eElm was particularly favoured by Ercol for its distinctive grain, strength and character.
